I attended Chisum High School and graduated with my high school diploma in 1998.  I then attended Paris Junior College and transferred to Texas A&M – Commerce where I graduated in December of 2002 with my Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

I began teaching at Chisum Elementary in 2006.  I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2^nd, and 3^rd grade.  I currently teach Math and Science in 3^rd grade.

I began teaching in 2002 at T.G. Givens at Paris ISD where I taught Kindergarten for 3 years.  I then moved to Chisum ISD and taught Pre-k for 3 years and 2^nd grade for two years.  I decided to stay home for 4 years and stay with my children.  I was asked to return to Chisum ISD in 2015 where I taught Kindergarten for 5 years before moving to 3^rd grade.

I married my husband, Kirk, in 2002.  We have five children.  Our oldest, Blake, is in the Army and has started a family of his own along with his wife, Samantha.  They have 4 children and currently are stationed at Fort Campbell on the Tennessee and Kentucky state line.  Our daughter, Delaney, is in medical school in Arkansas where she is studying to be a surgeon.  Our youngest 3 children are Emma, Zoé, and Luke.  Emma & Zoé are not twins, but both graduated from Chisum High School in 2021.  Luke is currently in high school here at Chisum and will graduate in 2025.
